Yup, I had a thread on it way back in 2019, towing my sled trailer on a nasty windy day and the drivers would fold in when a transport blew by, not every time, but most. Lariat auto folding mirrors and strap on trailer mirrors.has anyone had issues with oversized mirrors and the mirror flipping in at speed?
my 2010 F150 mirrors would flip in if a transport truck made enough of a wind going the opposite way.
I'm just wondering if the stock hinge can handle the extra wind resistance?
Since then Ive just taken to putting some heavy duty tarp/hockey type tape on front of mirror to its mount base. Works fine, just a precaution, as I figured it would be hard on the auto folder forcing it in like that.
Cheers, Todd
