It's okay, go ahead and laugh! I've been so busy since August with home improvement and organizing, getting the wood shop ready to make Christmas gifts, and gun season for deer next weekend that I've not had time to buy and install any bed lights. A couple of days ago I was at Harbor Freight and they had a sale going on. I bought two of these battery operated led lights on sale for $2.99 Each. Included 4 batteries in each one and velcro or screw hangers. This morning I added some serious velcro and 3m tape and after cleaning the bed liner with denatured alcohol I stuck em on both back corners of the bed facing the cab. Seriously bright, these will get me through deer season! One pic showing one light during the day and 2nd pic I just took in a totally dark garage with both lights on in the bed. Best $6 I've spent in a while.

Hi Mike,

What is your favorite wood with which to work. I have strictly switched to mesquite here....properties of Iron wood...way heavy but the patina of the natural wood without finish is wonderful.

Good luck getting your shop up and running. I love to marry iron and mesquite too.

Best,

I am eclectic, work with a lot of species, cherry, ash, oak, walnut, and exotics. The shop is up and running I am reorganizing since I am taking up more space with power carving. Wife has given me an early Christmas gift I just installed, a Wen air filtration system. I like mixed species and embrace the knots and figure in the wood and bring out the character.

I did the same lights in mine for similar reason. Work fine, good cheap short term solution. Got to love HF.
