I agree with you both that 80k is not what most would consider high mileage. As I have never owned a vehicle from new to this kind of mileage, I’ve never really gone off and changed brands of fluids or weight. That’s what got me looking into possibly switching the motorcraft stuff to Valvoline or Amsoil.
Mine goes out of warranty soon and I'll definitely be switching to Mobil 1 full synthetic as soon as I use up the Motorcraft oil.

I'm at 85k and have no plans on changing to a high mileage oil. My 10k oil samples have been looking great.

What does the warranty have to do with using mobile 1?

Have you found doing regular oil analysis useful? I considered sending out a sample at my next oil change, but have never sent one out as a baseline.

It's useful if you like seeing the info for the sake of having info or if you are looking for something in particular. I did it because of people complaining of fuel dilution. My samples showed that everything is fine
So I stopped at 75k. I'll probably do another one at a 100k just to satisfy my curiosity.

130K miles...I stuck with OEM fluids...for oil, I've using Mobil 1 high mileage...
FWIW, a guy I work with was told not to use Mobil 1 with any kind of Turbo because the oil breaks down quicker (he was told this by the service writer at Subaru where he bought his car, after asking why the oil in his engine was so dark in a relatively short time period after an oil change).

I used Mobil 1 regularly in my Trans Am. When I purchased my WRX I had heard the same thing on the Subaru forums. That’s what lead to me eventually switching to Pennzoil in my WRX. Since then I have used Pennzoil in a WRX, WRX STI, Accord, Corvette, Compass, and my Ranger.
