@Grandaccess all good points....I'm not regularly towing, usually I plan a couple of camping trips every year and rent a travel trailer usually around 5000-6000 lbs but no heavier.

There is a pretty good transmission cooler already set up on the vehicle, but I do intend to upgrade it at some point in the future, most likely.

No need. Even pulling 6000+ here in the south I never had a problem staying under 210.

@Grumpaw is equally as heavy if not more and he's up north where they have some more elevation changes and he's never had a problem either.

So you are using the truck inside the specs it was designed and engineered for...
what ever bolt ons added after are just warm and fuzzy not bad, you probably did make it better by 2%

Yeah, it's definitely a capable vehicle. I'm having fun with the upgrades and extra stuff.

LOL ok I push it to spec or beyond sometimes, but it seems to just handle everything I toss at it and not sweat
1000 in the bed I believe is past spec
Pictures or it didnt happen!
These AGM Telco batteries are 107 Lbs each! and I have had 14 of them at once, only felt it when coming to a stop LOL people talk shit about Rough Country Lifts, Not me! and I was still getting 17.5 mpg
I want to see side pictures of other lifts with over 1000 Lbs in the Bed!

Damn, son!

I'm gonna be putting a leveling kit on my front end pretty soon too...I like the look of it and it should improve the towing and off road performance quite a bit too, I hope.

What do you do to keep the window trims looking truly black? My window trim straps on the lower part of the frames are turning grey. I've seen several options, just curious if you have a certain approach.

the one on the back door came off when I went through some trees. I found it just havent bought the tape to put it back on yet, maybe this summer :)
even had it in the air a few times (Not With 1000lbs, I do not recommend that!) but if I ever do I will let you all know how much the damages cost LOL
I dont even wash it, not in over a year, it rains here in my part of NY almost every day why bother LOL
I am sure it dont ride like a Raptor LOL but thats not what I am looking for any way :) but it does with a 1000lbs in the bed LOL

I did a bit of driving around today in similar weather and it stayed below 190. I was pretty amazed.

Unless I was towing, that's about where mine stayed unless it was super hot and we were crawling through traffic. That's when temps spike.

Yeah, I'm right at the max towing 7000 lbs plus whats in the bed, and never had overheating problems. Towed thru just about every mountain areas in the east....no problems. And thats with the stock pan.
Hit 210-215 numerous times, but Ford considers that the normal temp range....Ford tech's advised me they don't even try to get a correct trans fluid reading till temps hit 210-215 and don't consider it overheated till 250 or more.
Fluid is full synthetic and dosen't react to heat like the old stuff did....
Just hook up, pull, and enjoy.....

Just because you have the extra capacity and some extra fins on the pan does not mean that you're not going to get up to operating temperature. If anything it will help to an extent on keeping things cooler when under heavy load. Also keep in mind that normal temperature for the 10R80 in the Ranger is around 200° F
Frenchy I know you have been on my post about "Trans Temps" I can 100% say I never see under normal driving 200 temps I would still like to see the ambient temps closer to mid 90s before I confirm this. But my past few days of driving I have not seen that happen. I will say I think my coolant temps are higher than they should be at low 200s but the trans stays below 200.
