I bought my XL as a cab/chassis and put my own flat bed tray on it , it didn't come with a camera , I've bought a camera kit from Ford and its not plug and play like the add says , apparently they want me to go to the dealer and let them use the Dealer Diagnostic Tool [FDRS] to activate it . Surely theres a hidden feature in the SYNC3 that i cant find to enable back up camera , anyone got a clue.

Ummm, they may be right. It's possible that the the cab/chassis version doesn't have the "rear camera on/off in the "settings' unless the truck come with the camera. Although I'm not even sure my XL/STX (with the camera) has it in the system settings either. Ford has "save a penny, save a buck" down to a science. Good luck.

It's more like "give us 80 bucks and we'll turn it on" unfortunately
