Are the side mirrors heated on the Ranger?

I don't think they are on mine and I thought I got everything available on the XLT.

Are they heated on the Lariat?

IIRC when you turn on the rear defrost it activates the heated mirrors.

Will ford or any company potentially offer such as an after market add on? I would pay up for it.

That's the way it works on my other vehicles, but on this one the side mirrors don't seem to clear.

We haven't had "frost" per se, but when a mist is on them it doesn't seem to evaporate when I turn on the rear defrost.

On my Jeep the side mirrors clear up very quickly.

Just searched and it seems only the Lariat has heated side mirrors.

Guess that's something else I'll have to add.

As far as I know, only the Lariat has the heated mirrors. That, along with the "puddle lights" on the mirrors is one of the reasons I decided to get a Lariat over an XLT (the other big one was the LED headlights).

I've found the heated side mirrors to be very useful in situations where it is needed. First vehicle I've had that has them too.

Only the Lariats
You really just need to replace the mirror glass with the heated version and of course run the wires to switch off the rear defrog.
On my Frontier these cost like $30-40 each, but Ford charges like $300! Pretty much same cost as an entire Lariat Mirror assembly. I guess thats to keep people from upgrading their XLTs

Jeep has a "cold weather package" that includes remote start, heated seats, and most importantly a heated steering wheel. My wife's Jeep has this package, and that heated steering wheel is worth it's weight in gold. It's one of those things you'd never give much of a thought, but after you have it in below freezing weather you don't want to live without it anymore!

Is there a package on the new Ford Ranger that has this equipment? If so, can anybody tell me what the package is actually called so I can see which trim levels it'll be offered on?
Sorry, the best you can do right now on a Ranger is the remote start and two heated front seats on the Lariat model. The heated seats are great on a cold morning or sore back in any weather. My former ride, a 2014 Explorer Limited, had a luxury package that included both heated seats and steering wheel, and I do miss the heated steering in the winter. Still, if I had to choose between heated seats and heated steering, I would take the heated seats in a heartbeat. So let's all just put on our gloves and wait for Ford to introduce this option....

Ya know, I'd be very surprised if the steering wheel and clockspring from a other Ford product could not be fitted without too much issue.

From there, grab some power at the heated seat switch and enjoy.

There are modules, wiring, clockspring, steering wheel, switch and as built programing that needs to be figured out. Not just plop a wheel on and there you go. Lot's involved. I've looked into this.
