So one of the biggest problems with my 2019 ford ranger xlt crew cab is the head rests that push my head into my lap every time I hit a bump.

I think that the head rest is to far forward for my 6'1" fram to be comfortable and is giving me a neck pain.

My solution I went to junk yard bought 2 head rests from a ford freestar. $20.00 and bent them straight in my vice.

I'm 6' and I haven't had that issue with the head rest. Now if my short 5'4" wife drives it she will ratchet the head rest all the way forward and never moves it back. Drives me crazy when I jump in and the seat is all the way up to the steering wheel and the head rest all the way forward. However, that a great idea you got there. Looks good, glad it worked out for ya.

On the Lariat, you just pull the headrest all the way forward and it will return to its rearmost position.

Same on my XLT. From the photo it looks like the OP's headrest just needs reset like this.

Yes I know this my dads f150 does the same thing. My personal issue is for me is l like my seat straight up and down and the headrest at its fullest far back leaves me no space for my head to go back
