Thanks Chris! There’s a trip into town planned along with the obligatory stop at Tim Horton’s for a coffee and a box of Tim-bits.

Responsible celebrations will continue for most of the day while I‘m up on a ladder to R&R the remaining gutter guards - swapping out failed plastic ones for aluminum. They broke down from UV. I should have used Duke’s 404 on them years ago!

I did some of the work yesterday and discovered the drain holes in them were too big and let in debris from the cedars.

It’s like a ”living roof” starter kit in a few places.

Irresponsible celebrating is a possibility later, closer to fireworks time.

I was at a Canada day parade a few years ago.
It was a a great celebration like nothing else I've ever seen.

Okay, here we go…..it’s my idea of a “clever” take on the Canadian Flag….

The two red bars have been replaced with two very Canadian things….

Insulin was developed/invented in Canada. If you have Type 1 Diabetes, you’re welcome, we’re happy to help.

Milk is available in clear, 1 litre plastic bags that you put in a plastic pitcher, snip the corner with scissors and pour.

Me, I buy mine in a cardboard, 2 litre container
