CA is simply entering out of state people into the CA Red Flag Db, that gets rolled up into the Federal system. Or maybe I misunderstood. Blue states like walking on individual's freedoms.

It sounded to me like if you just ignored the charge an didn't fight it it would get interred into the national data base.

I think that you are correct, but I wonder if you are even notified if you are put on a Gov list.

I have a feeling that the Gov has lists on lots of people for lots of reasons that we do not know about.

I opened an account at a Credit Union in SC and transferred funds into it. When I showed up in person the staff were very kind to me. The young woman who took my application told me that I was on a Gov list! I asked her what list? She was vague, but said I was obviously not the person on the list and they let me open the account.

Mind you, no felonies and the last traffic ticket that I rec'd was over 40 years ago. That is the extent of my criminal record. So what list am I on? God (and the Feds) only know.

yes and yes. lists and logs of extensive data exist. every keystroke, message, phone call and transaction is tracked and documented.

Could it be someone with the same name?

Kimber 1911 Pro RL

I had always wanted a Kimber 4” model(Pro TLE/RL ii)with a rail, but I believe they were discontinued a few years ago. That’s my assumption as I haven’t seen a new ones for sale in a bit, and they have not been listed on the Kimber website. Came with a single Kimber magazine.

Ran through about one hundred rounds and she ran great. Only hiccups I had was the slide locking back between rounds 3-6 on my two Chip McCormick 10 round power mags. Initially I assumed it was my grip, but it happened around the same round count on both of them. She ran flawlessly with my three Wilson Combats, the single Kimber, one Tripp Cobra, and one Mec-Gar mag.

help me spend or save money...

I am possibly looking for a new carry pistol and a fun gun. I have a G43 and a Hellcat Pro. I love the G43, but not the capacity. I am not in love with the HCP, but I love the capacity.

Enter the new guy on the scene: Shadow Systems. The CR920x is the G43x on steroids and a good price for what you get.

My concerns: They've only been on the market for 4 years, though everyone raves about the quality and reliability. Its capacity is much higher. It's a G43 clone, since the patent on Glocks 3rd gen ran up.

Since it's a Glock clone, holsters are available in spades. Glock OE parts are interchangeable. Would you buy the CR920x? Would you keep the G43 and HCP?

I would definitely keep what you already have. I can't bring myself to part with a gun I already own...

Maybe it's a good idea to go to a local indoor range and rent a cr920x for an hour or two to be more sure you like it enough to add one to your collection?
I'm of the belief you can't have too many guns or ammo.

I used to think that too, but the more I own guns, the more I realize that one good gun is better tan a bunch of misc guns. I'm okay if they serve different purposes, IE: a full size pistol, a micro pistol, a long range rifle, a light 'run & gun' rifle, etc.

None of my local ranges have the Shadow for rental, so I can't shoot one. That's where I have a hard time. The HCP was bought because I couldn't find one to rent and now I don't love it... That's an expensive mistake.

That's about where I'm at now too. When we moved I sold a lot of mine, like more than half of them and a bunch of AR kits and receivers. Sure it's nice to open the safe and see them all and look at your collection but at the end of the day I can use the money (and safe space) for something else. I still have a couple good carry guns (M&P Shield/Sig P365XL) and a couple of 1911's (I sold my Kimber) and 4 different 22's because Annie likes those. I also kept a couple AR's both rifle and pistols in both 5.56 and 9mm and my Mossberg Shockwave which I'll never sell.

My Kimber 1911 was like your HCP. I always wanted one and was the first gun I bought when I moved to AZ because we couldn't own them in MA. I might have put 100 rounds through it and never really loved it (it was really heavy) so it sat in the safe for 8 years. Luckily I sold it for what I paid for it because the prices now are $500 more than what I paid for it.

The only gun I got rid of I miss is my Sig C3 1911. I can't complain because I traded it for a P226 which I love. I like the way a 1911 shoots so I bought an import an it's a solid shooter for a low price. 1911's are too heavy an big for me to carry an a PIA to clean but I like them.

Buy a glock 48. Then, with your 43, you can mix and match frames and slides. Want a bigger pistol, use the 48. Small, use the 43. Small with a little more capacity, 43 slide on 48 frame. Turns it into a 43x. 3 pistols for the price of 2.

A pretty damning video came out about the CR920. I don't know about the 920x but I would double check!
