The Henry AR7 is another rifle that you can break down. Barrel & action stores in the stock along with 3 magazines. I have shot probably 6-8 different brands of ammo with only one problem. I still am amazed that I can assemble this rifle in less than a minute. Then shoot 4 to 6 bell ringers out of 8 shots at 100 yards.

Over the last year have been picking up 223 brass folks left on the ground. Decided a couple weeks ago to size it all.......trim it........swage the pockets.......prime 'em. Finally got a chance to load 'em up and gave 'em a final taper crimp this morning. 851 cases total. Got some 55gr FMJ pilled military bullets for .06 each. Had an 8lb keg of AA2230 powder that was free. Ended up loading the 851 rounds for .12 each. Total cost of about $102 for 851 rounds of 223.

Backstory on the powder......had ordered an 8lb keg of AA2230. Fedex pulled up and evidently rough handing during s/h caused the container to break open. Mighta lost 10% of the powder in the Fedex truck (he was pissed). Called the supplier and told them. They sent me a new 8lb keg and told me to keep what powder was left in the broke open container. Win-Win!

.06 for bullet
.07 for primer

The Henry AR7 was designed as a USAF pilot survival rifle. A lot of people has issues, probably operator, and go to 10-22 breakdown.

Sad day. I broke down my AR pistol chambered in 9mm. The upper will see duty on my SBR'ed AR lower, but it looks goofy as hell and I don't like it. Oh well. I guess I will have to live with it. I have a stock for my formally-9mm-AR-lower, and it will get a 16" 5.56 upper.

I'm out. No way I can compete with that vast amount of money.

Also. 10/22s are lego guns like ARs.

If one was ranking aftermarket support of rifles the 10/22 falls right behind an AR patterned rifle.

But those Henry's are slick.
