Good OC spray works pretty good. Don't get that cheap truck stop crap. A good heavy dose in the eyes and they will slam shut. All the good ones have a flip top and will only allow you to spray it in one direction.
These are the ones I bought. They have a slide safety so you can still activate it quickly but the safety stays in place when in your pocket. I also have a larger version without the clip that stays in my trucks center cupholder. I've had these for a little over 2 years and have never had the safety come off. They active with a quick twist with your finger so they're still easy and quick to use if/when needed. ?

ive never had much luck with spray. a friend and i were in the back of one of my farm trucks several years ago and two very angry large dogs would not let us out. they were snarling and growling. They intended to chew us up. dont know why. didnt want to shoot them. called a friend and drove over and gave the dogs several heavy shots of oc spray and it hardly bothered the dogs at all. emptied the can on em. got them in the face with it too. that just made them more ready to shred us up. finally two rounds from the 45. into the dirt sent them running away from the sound. had just long enough for us to get over the bed side and into the cab, dogs were only a few steps behind.

I've read where a lot use bear spray. I guess it's more potent and shoots much farther than pepper spray.

I'll ask this here since since it's kinda related , IF you couldn't carry in your Ranger for whatever reason , what would be your go to item for say a meth head at a stoplight confrontation? Good Ole whooping stick or some peppy spray ? I'm armed with nothing but me good looks at the moment but been thinking I may need more than that , as hard as that is to believe...
Not even sure what's legal anymore ... probably a stick , I'd end up spraying myself most likely...
I’m not sure I’d answer this one honestly online…..

…..but I do keep a hatchet in my Ranger in case I need to chop small trees to make a fire when camping.

Wasp spray. Not the foaming crap, Raid that shoots the 15-20 foot stream. Legal everywhere....except maybe Commiefornia. I've heard truckers use it since most (if not all) aren't allowed to carry real weapons, other than a tire thumper.

I read that too. Bear spray an wasp/hornet spray.

New carry gun! Shield Plus in 30 Super Carry.

I've got a Vortex Viper red dot coming tomorrow.

380, 30 SC, and 9mm

Those are all of my 9mms. The Shield Plus replaced a Glock 43.

I've got a few 380s, 45s, and revolvers, but I don't shoot them often.

ive always been a dog person and they typically like me. They may have thought i was trespassing or trying to hurt the human they own lol. I have noticed the police in my area carry Saber brand.
