The front height gained depends on what the stock height was. There seems to be a lot of variabilty in stock heights. Some trucks, like mine, have 2 inches of rake front to back stock. Some others report 3 to 3.5 inches of rake. If your truck was on the higher end of average for front height (like mine seems to be) then no surprise you did not see a full 2 inches of front height gain. After waiting 2 months my FOX 2.0 Stage 1 suspension kit finally showed up. I took measurements from the ground to the Bottom of the fender both sides. Yesterday I Installed the coil overs and rear shocks. From reading Stage 3’s info, and info on the FOX website I anticipated 2-2.5” of lift in the front with the new coil overs as set from the factory. To my dismay I have only gained 1.25” of ride height… I figured Atleast they’re adjustable, but then I read that they have to be removed and compressed in a press to adjust the collar… I don’t have a press and I’m not thrilled with spending money at a shop to have somebody do it for me when it should’ve shipped at the advertised setting.. I will say the ride quality is incredible compared to the FX4 coil overs, but this is definitely annoying.
FWIW, my stock FX4 w/ the Hankooks is 36" front and 38" rear to the center of the fenders. What was yours to start with @Wesmertz ?
I do agree that having to remove the shock, and especially having to use a press, to adjust them is a huge PITA. From what I see on YouTube, the smaller spring compressors will not fit around the Fox coils. You are required to use a press to compress the spring enough to adjust the preload ring. Very few of us have access to a press
