Good point. Eibach shock bodies are Stainless steel vs Fox being aluminum body.
along time ago, when the 2.0 first came out for tacomas and 4 runners (when swayaway was still common to see) the 2.0 could be adjusted on the truck. the adjustment rings were much different. but, all things change as we know. i wouldn’t be surprised if the amount of warranty work for blown off threads was the culprit.

I really like my Eibach coilovers.
they are actually zinc plated steel, like bilsteins. so far- ill say they appear to be holding up to salt better than bilsteins.

After waiting 2 months my FOX 2.0 Stage 1 suspension kit finally showed up. I took measurements from the ground to the Bottom of the fender both sides. Yesterday I Installed the coil overs and rear shocks. From reading Stage 3’s info, and info on the FOX website I anticipated 2-2.5” of lift in the front with the new coil overs as set from the factory. To my dismay I have only gained 1.25” of ride height… I figured Atleast they’re adjustable, but then I read that they have to be removed and compressed in a press to adjust the collar… I don’t have a press and I’m not thrilled with spending money at a shop to have somebody do it for me when it should’ve shipped at the advertised setting.. I will say the ride quality is incredible compared to the FX4 coil overs, but this is definitely annoying.
You win some and you lose some with these threaded aluminum shock bodies. The aluminum body is more corrosion resistant and lighter than the steel alternatives and they are almost infinitely adjustable between 0"-3.5". With all those advantages you lose the ability to adjust the spring perch under load so guys like you and me have to either find a pro installer or buy/rent a spring compressor. I got lucky with ~2" of front lift out of the box, but with the volume of orders on these Fox kits there are bound to be some errors. Sure you need to adjust yours, but you still have some premium shocks and the adjustment is relatively simple.

All things aside, you may be able to finesse a free adjustment if you buy those 32s from the same guy that installs them. I'm sure any reasonable mechanic would work with you if it means selling a set of expensive off road tires. It's not a super complex job and any legit shop should be well equipped to handle adjustable struts.

Well, the tires are on. I did have to remove the crash bars (fronts only, back clear fine) to get rid of some rubbing. Now shes aligned and ready to roll. I have intentions to get a camper shell this year, so I think I’ll wait to adjust the springs until after that’s installed. I may just need that inch!

I put Eibach coilovers in my truck and they lifted it 3.5 inches! Problem was my front alignment was impossible to correct and my stock tires were destroyed after 10k miles. I had heard this would happen if this truck was lifted that much with stock control arms so this past December I replaced them with camburg uppers and put 33 inch tires on it! My truck is a beast now and the larger tires and camburg uppers made a huge difference! The ride is amazing!

I just invested in Camburg upper control arms to match with my Fox 2.0 shocks. I will have it all at the end of the month to install on my '21 FX4. Are those Camburg UCA's still holding up?

I just put the Fox 2.0 kit on my truck today. Out of the box I backed the collar down 3/8". You can barely tell the difference in height gained. Probably going to take them out and re-adjust the collars. To me with that much preload taken off they r very soft and similar to the FX4 suspension I took off.

Currently I'm at 36.5 front driver rear driver 38 1/8. Front pass 37 and rear passenger 38 1/4. I'm going to try and get the fronts to 37.5 and leave it there. The ride is a little nicer then the FX4 but nothing to scream from mountain tops over.

UPDATE:

I wound the drivers side up 5/8" and passenger side up 3/8" and it is sitting at 37 1/4 driver and 37 1/2. Thats good for me. I'm sitting on a full tank of fuel right now. So Id imagine as it goes down she'll get even at some point. Just those little adjustments stiffened it up perfect too. Driver side rear is 38 1/4
Passenger side is 38 1/2

Can you share what your preload settings are? How much threads are exposed? I have the 2.0 set ready to go on but the preload seems very minimal and I don’t want to have to install and remove to adjust if possible. I have a photo of mine set from factory for reference if you would like.

If helpful, Firestone Destination XT in a LT255/75/17 is a true 32" tire that fits FX4s in stock configuration. Confirmed from others' input here, and now my own installation. Don't need a lift. With your lift, I'm sure your sizing options, including width will open up. Not sure why folks want their taller tires to be wider, too. Not helpful under most off road conditions and they weigh an F-ton, which means your truck is slower, weaker with less MPG. Then again, I care not about aesthetics, but I know others primarily care about it.
