I would like to know if you can extend (split) - From the rear side of the Front USB Hub (Sync3) into say the glovebox or center armrest cubby, I have an old iPhone that I currently use for music (always plugged in) and hidden. In my current car and will be taking delivery of my new ranger soon. I know that the rear ports are charge only. The front 2 ports are the only ports that will connect to Apple Car Play from what I understand.
I want to have the 2 front ports left open and just have (iPhone / USB stick) hidden away for my music only. I have read through the posts and have not found anyone who has done it.
And if it's possible - Will the Sync3 allow 2 devices be connected at the same time, say google maps running (my phone) and the old iPhone still plugged-in running music?
I'm thinking of getting another 2-port hub (same part number as installed) and find a splitter that will connect to the back of the module and extend it to the glovebox which will leave the front ports open and available for use. I don't have the truck yet, so just researching the mods I'm wanting to do

Sorry - This is my First Ford and have never used Sync3

USB HUB - P/N: HC3Z-19A387-F
HUB Cable - P/N: KB3Z-14D202-HAB (Possibly use cable to splice into installed hub and extend)

Thanks

You can! I had the console apart and the plug on the back is a mini-USB.
