That's good you're able to do so much in just a short time but I'd be careful on them stairs. Was your wife helping you or are you just holding onto the sides on the way down?

Should I send you a Life Alert just in case? ?

I did this one solo. I actually got to the bottom and called to her and proudly held the folded walker up for her to see. After she quit yelling, I unfolded the walker and started doing my laps.

She was assigned as my “coach” by the doc. One day when I started complaining about how over reaching she was becoming, she said, “I am shooting for Coach of the Year!” I just rolled my eyes, knowing further conversation was futile.

I probably could have used Life Alert last night. Help, somebody turn off these crazy ladies talking so angry and loud! ;)

100% correct, at least about the diligence and lack of complacency. The old/bold pilot thing is pretty accurate, but there are a few who I have known who defied that quip.

About my wife being dead on, partly cloudy maybe... ;)

PS - just got down the stairs carrying the folded up walker. Bad leg last going up, bad leg first going down... memory checklist... :)
Yeah I still have to do it apparently me going up and down stairs looks very funny lol and thats a win right there, they gave me a walker and crutches but I have and am sticking with the crutches I can't bring myself to use the walker lol I am only 23 lol

Honestly stairs are easier than walking at least for me the good leg just does all the work and you support yourself as you go up and this is coming from someone who had stairs cause their injury.... I wish I had one of those when I fell lol I already know what my works secret santa present is gonna be lmao

I grew up in a ranch and the first house I built was a 2 story Cape style house. Hted the stairs and sold it 2 years later and built a big ranch on 3 acres. I also have a 1 story ranch here and love the open layout.

The reason I hate stairs is I always fall on them. Not going down like most normal people but going up! Did I mention I'm Polish?

I think using a walker at 23 is a whole lot less demeaning than using a walker at my age. When you use it, they know you are either on the mend or about to be on the mend.“. ;)

Yeah I have almost face planted going up a few times lol thankfully all pre break. That time I missed the flight entirely lol, definitely would advise against taking the express route the journey is quick but the landing aint fun. When I build/buy my first house I am absolutely doing 1 story or an elevator lol

I sent my friends a photo of it not even of me using it and they all instantly started laughing at me and calling me an old man lol I couldn't bring myself to use it after that cause that was my first thought as well besides the crutches are a good workout, my arms already look more toned cause of them

Man, young, lucky and smart.

I did take a tumble down a whole flight of stairs, a very long time ago, when I was still made of rubber.

I was taking the laundry down to the basement to the washing machine. Lights off, basket full of laundry obscuring the stairs. Never even got the first step fully planted and over I went on the high side. Thankfully, a carpeted staircase. Over and over I went and when I stopped at the bottom, flat on my back, I froze amd afraid to move, thinking about broken necks. Uber slowly I started feeling things out. I ended up with a couple of cracked ribs and that was it. My good luck surfaced again.

Turns out, you have to be able to see the steps, at least until you have the rise and run coded into your brain. I didn’t know that!

One story is the way to go especially in these hot climates. Heat rises and everyone here I know that has a 2 story regrets it come summer. Their upstairs is so much hotter and even with the second ac to control it it'll be costly. It's not uncommon to have $600 + electric bills in the summer here with a 2 story house. Glad I have solar on mine. ?

Yeah before we put in the very light colored aluminum roof it was noticeably hotter upstairs even with an attic and loads of insulation in between now not so much
