Need to get some dirt/compost this weekend. Does the Fox Leveling Kit alter the max payload on the truck?

Also, the supplier said the weight of a yard is 1700-1900 lbs for a 50/50 mix. I'm guessing that is right at the top end or a little over the listed payload (can't check - wife has the truck at the moment). What kind of error rate is on the stated number? I know I put a full yard in the back of my 2008 Ranger XL which I am sure was over the limit - but in wasn't as concerned about that truck. It's a 6 mile trip on rural roads.

Depending on the trim level, you are either at capacity or way over capacity. Just rent a trailer for a day and be done with it.

I had to buy a yard of top soil last year and the operator loaded a little more than a yard in my trailer. Came to over 2700 pounds on the scale.

It's a XLT Supercab 4x4.

Yeah, that was a thought too - them being generous on the scoop. We've also had some good rain of late so good chance it is on the top end of their estimate.

It's just a quick 6 mile trip and they sell by half yards too. 1 yard should be enough so I'll probably just do 2 trips. Delivery for up to 10 yards is almost twice the cost of a yard of dirt and I don't want it dumped on my driveway.

According to the internet my 2008 had a capacity of 1260 lbs. I once put a full yard of dirt in it. (No compost mix and dirt is heavier).

Well i have a 2020 xlt 4x2. 1700lb payload. 4x4 puts it at least 300lbs less. As mentioned before here. Get a trailer.

If you do this, I'd be curious to see what the truck with Fox kit looks like with 1000-2000 lbs in the back.

Pretty much decided to go half yards at a time. Forgot that I need to include myself in the payload weight. Just gonna be safe and go that route. My guess is that they do go with healthy half yards based on previous experience there so it will probably be 1,000 lbs in the bed at a half yard.

I'll take a picture. In the meantime, here is a picture of my 08 with almost a yard of 50/50. I had him stop loading before the scoop was all in.
