I totally get that.

I think the majority of users won't notice changes in performance during normal use, they might at the limits of the suspension (hitting a speedbump at speed etc). But that probably wouldn't be more than huh, that settled differently. (2 or 3 cycles of suspension to settle vs 1 cycle)

Maintenance could also be as simple as looking at the shock bodies and shafts to ensure parts aren't damaged or leaking.

Realistically, leaking is the first sign most users will have that there is a problem....

I find it intriguing that suspension like bilatein and eibach don't "require" rebuilds and are supposed to survive 10's of thousands of mile.

It would be a good "test" for one of these shock rebuild companies to show a shock that has never been rebuilt, vs one that's rebuilt on schedule.... Talking about lifetime use of over 75k miles. That might be a better test for a test rig that cycles the shock up and down at a random height and force intervals...
going from a '21 FX4 directly into a 21' Tremor, I can attest they there is absolutely a noticeable performance change in every day use. The Tremor is exponentially better at eating up dips and bumps in the road than the FX4 was. Also gone is that horrific "floatyness" that is characteristic of the FX4. I even switched the rears on the FX4 to Icons, with definitely helped, but still not a good as the Tremor.

Welcome to earning a truck. You're going to feel every single bump in the road whether you like it or not
That’s not %100 true idk if you have ever ridden in a raptor but when I drive a 3rd gen raptor it’s like being on a cloud. If you spend enough money on some good suspension you’ll get there

I have ridden in many trucks. Regardless of the truck and what's suspension it has on it you're going to feel every bump of the road. I have noticed different shocks will act differently to where it might be a little bit better with one shock over another. That includes the third gen F-150 raptor that you're talking about

To clarify I was referring to shock usage over time and performance degradation.

There is definitely a difference in stock FX4 and fox suspension components.

I will also add, I just clicked over 20k miles on my tremor and I "feel" a difference in performance since new. This is completely subjective, and my driving is 99% on road. I it feels, by the butt dyno, like the shocks are more spongy today vs new...

Shrug. I'll keep running them without rebuild until I replace them, than I'll rebuild them and shelve them for when I rebuild the new set...
