I just bought this remote starter off of Amazon

and it worked great ,Took about 10 min to install.

I looked at that one briefly, but I wanted to keep mine OEM and the Ford one above is also the Perimeter Plus Security system. If you're looking for just remote start though, the one you got is a good option.

You don't need Forscan for that...it's in the setting on screen....not at my truck right now to check but will later...

Couldn’t find it in the screens. I checked the manual and boom, page 60. Press and hold the lock and unlock for 3 seconds to switch from two stage to one stage. Worked like a charm. Thanks!

This may be a stupid question but I have no FORScan experience whatsoever... is there a specific adapter I need to buy or are they all basically the same? I see lots of options on Amazon.ca.

AFAIK, they are all pretty much the same. You just have to decide on Bluetooth/cable, Android/Windows etc.

That’s good to hear. I didn’t want to get the cheapest one and this one seemed to get the highest reviews.
I really wish it was possible to use my iPad Pro with it but it doesn’t look like that’s possible, my house is all Mac. I guess I’ll have to steal my wife’s work laptop and use it!

The adapter I bought required a driver update. The Forscan forum can direct you to needed drivers.

This website can answer or has done many of the requests I've seen asked here. They are based on international Rangers. https://www.saeb.net/index.php.
