Hi All - This question is only for people with an XLT IPC.

Looking for a very specific bit of information from someone that might have enabled speed limit signs in their XLT cluster.
I did the XLT IPC swap in my 2020 and the cluster I have is from a 2019. When I enable the speed limit signs, the signs are the round Euro signs. Me being the OCD type that I am, I want the USA rectangles like the stock 2020 Lariat cluster had before I swapped.
I know that the sign type is built into the IPC so I'm interested in procuring a 'newer' IPC to correct the speed signs (if I can)

Question, has anyone with a 2020 or 2021 XLT Ranger enabled speed limit signs in their IPC with FORScan and are the signs round Euro style or rectangular USA style?

Thanks ahead of time for checking.

Speculating here. These icons are stored in the firmware, most likely. There may be a style flag to enable different shapes for different markets. Look in ForScan for a USA/ROW option. Possibly ask in the ForScan forum if they know anything about this.

Edit: I already found this. It's a starting point for how the firmware works, how it's updated, and even gives some clues for Ford's identification strategy reflected in Part Numbering.

I’ve got a 2021 and enabled this. Signs are rectangular.

Cool, I wonder if that's the reason for the part number difference between '20 & '21?

To my knowledge, speed recognition does not work with our Rangers

Maybe not in a '22 model year? I have a 2020 and am seeking info for that year.

I have it enabled in my 2020 with a 2019 cluster - It has the Euro shaped signs. I enabled it in the original cluster and they were the more familiar rectangular ones as seen in the US.
@maxbottomtime has also confirmed that it works with his 2021.

I had them turned on with my 2020 Ranger. Xlt. Maybe it was the technology package i had, and have on my 2022. Its the regular cheap package, no heated mirrors or seats no fancy cruise control.

Turned it on with my 2022, xlt and i dont see any change

You'd need to have lane keeping for the vehicle to have a camera to read the signs.

I have a 2020 Lariat but currently have a 2019 XLT cluster installed and the signs for street sign recognition show up as Euro and I want US versions.

Give me the Forscan codes and I will try it. We have the same setup but mine is a 2020. My cluster is a 2020 as well. (XLT Swapped)
