Ford Upgrade Program. Could it be true?

I got something like this when I traded in my Focus for the Ranger back in 2019 and it was legit. Ended up coming out about 10% over market.

My plan was to do the same with the Ranger into a Bronco but we all know that song and dance.

Good Point. I am lucky then as I really don't want them calling me, at all. for anything!!

It really becomes obvious when or if you land on a good sales person, or dealer.

The other day a friend of mine asked me if I was interested in selling my truck to his son that is returning from service in the Army. It kind of tugged at my heart strings for a moment and I said let me think about it.

After running over the scenarios with getting a new truck and losing all the features and upgrades on my 2019 Ranger I told him sorry I can’t do it.

I have never owned a vehicle that lost things from older models. They were always some upgrade, engine, body style, sound system…… The only truck I would trade for is a Ranger Raptor and it looks like they will be too expensive or too hard to find.

I actually had my order come in but I let my dad buy it as a Bday present. Wasn't quite ready to get out of the Ranger but regretting that choice.

Has anyone received a flyer like this? My dealer sent me an upgrade program flyer telling me their interested in my truck and offering 20% over book. Can this be true? I know there’s probably no inventory to choose from but my goodness I’d be letting it go for more than what I paid for it three years later.. What do they use to determine book value? I used Kelly Blue book for giggles, private party and trade. Private party is what I paid for the truck, now add 20% its very tempting. Even trade in with 20% would put me a couple thousand ahead. What am I missing here.. The “UP” to 20% is probably the catch! Thanks

I got a mailer for a unbelievable trade in for my 2016 f-150 lariat with 41,000 miles on it. They didn’t have a Ranger lariat on the lot That i liked so I’m ordering a 2023 next week. Crazy market.

It’s 20% before they take a walk around and then point out every defect possible and some you didn’t even know you had to begin with. Then by the time the numbers hit the paper you find yourself in negative territory ? Oh we have a deal for you though! We’ll only mark up the new one 20% over sticker since we like you!

Good choice on keeping it Rich. I agree it's more of a downgrade as we'd be losing way to many things going from a 2019 to a present one.

I'm still torn between the Ranger Raptor and the PHEV Ranger. I might just order both and see which one comes in first. It'll probably take a good 12-18 months anyways so it won't be a first year run. Right Tony @tgRanger? ??
