Who here has the ford tuner?

what can you monitor with it?

boost
Trans temp
Coolant temp
MAF
Oil pressure
Etc
Etc

I’m looking for more of a monitor that looks like a tuner.
so any suggestions would be great.

If all you want is to monitor the above get an OBD adaptor and TorquePro.

Why waste money on a tune you don't want?

You are absolutely right. But in the future I may buy a travel trailer. And the towing tunes maybe something I might use.

the official Ford tuner only has 1 tune. its a performance 91 tune and is not recommended for towing. you will need to go-to an aftermarket tuner.

That was the early bit. It has been revised to tow safely. As for premium fuel you are correct

There is a limitation as to what you can monitor. Boost is complicated because of how it's shown. Oil pressure can't be shown because there isn't an Oil Pressure Sensor, only a switch.

I monitored the following on mine,
Engine Coolant Temp and Cylinder Head Temp(if they vary by more than a few degrees it indicates a coolant leak)
Transmission Temp
Catalytic Converter Temp(it's calculated but better than nothing)
Two other things to somewhat calculate boost

Below is a picture of what I had(yes it is a Livernoise My Touch Calibrator, but it is the same as the Pro Cal 4 from Ford Performance)

Also be advised that the Ford Performance Tune will Downgrade(not to be confused with void as it does not have the same meaning) your Power train warranty from 5 year 60,000 miles down to 3 year 36,000 miles from the original purchase date of the vehicle (whoever bought it new).

Also Livernoise overs a few different Tunes For the Ranger including a Tow tune that will accept fuel octane from 87-93. It's your call on that
