For me, eight months now, I have had three tune updates and three update on the windows app.
The last tune update was a big improvement, did not notice anything on the app.
My current tune file name ends with -AAR.BIN.

No notification, but I did set up a calendar reminder to plug the ProCal in every month and check.
Gives me something to do in retirement.

Does the truck need to be returned to stock before checking for any updates on the Procal unit and/or tune file updates? I know the SCT BDX wont update unless the stock file is flashed first.

I personally think it's a big advantage that Procal essentially lets the end user get PCM/TCM updates from Ford without need to go to the dealer. Last software update out of warranty on my Jeep that I traded cost $100 out of pocket.

Based on what others have said, plug in the Procal to your computer and let it connect to the internet and check
