After having the Start-X Remote Start for two weeks I find it indispensable. I use it pretty much every time I head to my truck, even in the grocery store parking lot. For me, it's been a good fit.

Right now I leave my defrost on max when I shut off the truck and, even if the truck's only been on a few minutes, it makes a difference.

I can now do early morning dump runs in the winter time in full comfort! =D

Even with Soupie being on a battery tender, I did get the "going to deep sleep" message on the Ford App, so no remote starting.

This morning it would have been nice because this is Soupie's very first frost.

So I ordered the X-Start yesterday and hopefully that acts as a backup (Cheech is extra grumpy if he's cold).

It's aggravating as hell. Even a few times when it's been on the battery tender, I don't get it but it's far too complex for me to ever figure out.

And you think your truck isn't? Go into settings on your phone and adjust app permissions. And watch out for the black helicopters flying overhead.
Helicopters of Color PLEASE ???

I use Remote Start on the app every time I drive it and the only time it didn't work was in snow so maybe low temperatures affect it?
I think heavy snow may block the signal from reaching the trucks cell antenna.

Just adding my 2 cents. 22 XL, no key fob.

I use my app to start my Ranger daily, as often as 4-5 times a day, and my only complaint is that the Ranger seems to guzzle gas at idle.

Additionally, if my phone battery is low or in power save mode, it doesn't seem to work. So maybe consider your phone if the app start doesn't work.

Also make sure you have the current version of the app from the app store.

Lastly, if I'm unsure if I'm communicating with the Ranger at all, I'll remote lock it, then check my tire pressure to see when it was last updated.

Friday yet?

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
According to the window sticker (yes I still have it) for my 2020 XLT FX4, I do not have the 302A package. And I still have the remote start button on my FOB's

Everyone doesn't keep the window stickers? Wife's Sport is 10 years old. Sticker in glove box. My ST is 9 years old. Sticker in glove box. Even the ol' Frontier POS has the sticker in the gove box when I traded it in.
Saving the stickers is my normal mode of operation.

If you opt for remote start (302a XLT), you still have to put key in right?

No push button.

Confused cause the build/price Ford site shows push putton on the remote start package picture.
The dash should have a message to insert the key and put to on position in order to drive the truck. If you touch the brake before doing that, it'll shut the engine off.
