My app seems fine but today I got the annoying "don't forget your baby in the back seat" alert. I have a SCAB and turned that off months ago. Maybe the truck got an update or maybe those warnings have to be opted out of from time to time.Gonna check the app now, not sure when it last had an update ... thanks for the heads up!

I got the same yesterday. Awhile back (couple of months or so) Sync updated while I was driving down the road. I never did figure that one out.

I got that too, the other day.I think it pops up periodically. Like every three months? Six months?

It makes sense from their liability sake. What if I turned that off, sold the truck, and then something like that happened. I can see a "timed opted out" type policy.

LOL, if that's my biggest gripe for the day, life's good! =)

I got the same yesterday. Awhile back (couple of months or so) Sync updated while I was driving down the road. I never did figure that one out.

Speaking of Gremlins—Ford missed it, even with the Pinto Bar-B-Q, it was not the serious styling of the Gremlin! =p

Thanks! I did find in a past thread where someone said Ford had dropped the location feature. So, if that is true, I'm out of luck. ?

SWITCHING REAR OCCUPANT ALERT SYSTEM ON AND OFF

1. Press Settings on the touchscreen.

1. Press Vehicle.

1. Switch Rear Occupant Alert on or off.

Note: The default setting is on.
Note: Performing a master reset causes the system to switch on again.
Semiannual Reminder (If Equipped)
When you switch the system off, a message appears every six months as a reminder that the system is off. You can switch the system back on or leave it off.

Well for whatever reason mine has never reminded me in the last 2 years of ownership. I better buy a lottery ticket tonight!

Maybe it's something in newer trucks where Ford decided that since they were removing stuff, they should add this in for free? ?

Mine reminded me the other day and it's only 3 mos old. Guess the puter can't keep track of time.

Remember it will only remind you every 6 months that the system is OFF. Try this next time you are ready to go somewhere. Open the back door for a couple of seconds, shut it, then drive to you destination. When you get there and switch the engine off, you should get a warning to check rear seats for occupants, even if no one has sat in the rear. If you don't get that warning, the system is either OFF or malfunctioning. I get the warning even if I open the rear door to set something on the floor.

The manual says 'If equipped" so maybe some levels don't have it. My '21 STX SE does.

My map just opened up in Berlin!

Mine does this pretty often. It'll quickly zoom across the world to where my truck actually is, but it's weird. The app uses Here Maps, which does have offices in Berlin......

Have to see if opens here.

I didn't really pay attention, just saw it was in Berlin. If it does it again, I will look closer.
