Ford pass app red at top ?

You probably did this, but did you actually Delete App or Remove from Home Screen? Remove from Home Screen just clears the icon off and leaves the rest of the app in the phone. Delete App completely uninstalls the app and all of its data. You can then go to the App Store and reinstall it. You may or may not need to reset your password and presets.

edit: I didn't see your most recent post until after I posted this. Not sure what the red band is at the top, I never had it. I did however have a problem a couple of weeks ago where I pushed Start, and the whirlygig kept rotating on & on, and I never got confirmation of the start, but it actually started. ?‍

i deleted and reinstalled ... im thinking my phone , i may reset the phone tonite and try...

I have done nothing yet , but yesterday it worked normal once , then later told me it failed to start , but it was running when I checked, 3rd time it made me go use the key ... Worked this morning , app does not crash anymore either ... Again , I didn't do anything but it seems to be "self medicating" ... Really is MY truck...

on Mar7th, I updated the app.
it was 4.12.0 after that.

today i double checked and told me an update was required, now 4.12.1

so i have updated it again, a week later.

Red is still there. For a minute i thought perhaps the red was to indicate there was an update available, but that was quashed.
I think it's just a color pallet the designer thought looked nice?? I dunno

Mine has the .1 version (just found that) it may have updated when I reinstalled it ... And , it may have been red the whole time and I only noticed once it quit working.... I do like that feature , A LOT... Ive never even had normal remote start before .... So this is bigtime , for me anyway...

You also have a notification with a triangle and an exclamation point, is that making your bar red? It just feels like an Android thing, not a Ford Pass thing, but I definitely could be wrong. I do not have a red bar on mine

I think your right on the android part , truck dont like the android auto much either... A new phone , I needs a new phone ...
Edit: that triangle is gone , but still red and still working...

Well the red is strange , and I guess it means something isn't quite right... Good excuse for a new phone though , "Honey ! I need a new phone to call my truck !" That should go over fairly well...

Mine started doing this recently but goes away once the app is booted up. Just noted it as something different since the app is working just fine.

That makes.sence , I just tried it (still red) but works fine , Tire Pressure and oil life respond faster too , and the "update " where it tells you where the truck is located seems to be better ( 11 and 12 hours between before ) I have some areas of spotty coverage but I dint think thats it...

For about the last 5 days or so my ford pass has went crazy , w ont start ,blank news and no Tire pressure info... I have deleted and reinstalled app several times , it seems to update things butt still no start , yesterday did the master reset and reactivate but still no start ... I don't remember if the ford app was always red at the top or not... Bad modem maybe ? Hate to take it dealer for just that...

Clear the cache on the App?

Its worked fine the last few days , it does spin quite a while before start confirmation
