I agree that has been an issue, but Ford confirmed to me today that they are in fact shifting order fulfillment to pacify high volume dealers. They admitted my Lariat (along with others here that have their truck built except for whatever needs chips) is being skipped over as parts come in so that they can fill customer orders and dealer allotments from higher volume dealerships. She actually told me they are doing this across the line for all models - high volume dealers are starving for products. We've seen in this forum that several members have "high profit" trucks were ordered in April and May that have built but are been waiting for chips since August and September, while other members have had the same trim of truck ordered, built, shipped, and delivered in the timeframe the earlier builds are still waiting for chips. It didn't make sense in the past few weeks when we started seeing orders placed in August showing up in customer hands but now is certainly does. For me personally the irony is that my dealership is one of five Ford dealerships owned by the same group; if I would've driven an extra hour to one of their superstores to order, I'd have my truck.

While I understand the supplier issues Ford told us Bronco reservation holders that they will prioritize the Bronco builds to get the chips. So, it looks like Ford just institued a blanket allocation formula without, once again, considering what we were told. To date I cannot tell you which, if any, promise Ford has kept during this fiasco we call the Bronco.

It appears that Ford changes the plan day by day because clearly lots of Ranger Lariats (the chip hogs) are rolling out of MAP. They're just going to the wrong dealers. The sales manager at mine has called asking for screenshots of the order posts here three times today - which I'm sure is driving him insane because I'd assume nobody at the corporate side of Ford that he wants to talk to is actually working today given the holiday. I do feel a little better that he's (at least seemingly) as pissed off as I am.

After my parents had a bunch of issues with their 2013 f150, I suggested they look at Tundras. Their f150 broke down and left my mom stranded like 5 times. Their response was they just wouldn't buy that brand.. I then read an article juxtaposing F150 reliability decline having no effect on F150 sales. Ford will have no problem selling broncos and sometimes people just get the short end of the stick. I feel bad for anyone in that situation. MY22 Gladiator order banks opened Friday if that's your thing.
Just for the heck of it I sent Granger a pdf yesterday afternoon with a build sheet off the Jeep B&P. Received their quote back today with their invoice price plus 4% off which comes out very close to my Bronco order. This is pretty much a fully loaded Rubicon minus the adaptive cruise as I don't need or like it. Now my Bronco is a 2dr and this one is a 4dr because I want the Extreme 35" package which only comes in the 4dr model. I will test drive one soon if I can find a local dealer that has one similar.

I know nothing of Jeep reliability/driveability other than what I read here, but that IS one good-looking ride in my opinion.

The fact that Amanda has heard nothing about it means that the executives are making decisions based on the strong arm of big dealers. In addition, it is being swept under the rug. Without everyone's detective work, @wanted33 and @AzScorpion , this would of easily went under the rug to f*** the small dealers. I am glad you guys are being proactive in voicing your concerns and I hope a lot of others do it as well.

Side note. I want a baby blue Bronco in the future, but only if I can make it a power beast. Throw me the 4.0L twin turbo on the eco boost with heavy mod support and I am in. Trust me, I would trade the Ranger in a heartbeat at a loss if the Bronco was a power beast. It's close but not heavily more powerful than a stock Ranger. No mod support ofc, and will there be? That's the real question.

I thought so too Chris. Really the only difference in price from my Bronco is about $3K which is because of the 4dr model on the Jeep. Like you I don't know much about their reliability either just what I hear from others on forums. Some love them and other hate them but I feel I should do my due diligence to at least check them out and at least see if I like the way they drive.

I'm not sure what's going into the Bronco Raptor/Warthog for a motor. I'm not sure if Ford is going to invest a lot of time and money going with a large ICE motor seeing as they already committed to investing millions into EV. Now you could always buy one and shoehorn a Coyote motor in there. ? I'll even drive out and help with that project.?

You make very good points about the upgraded Broncos. EV is definitely the future, and for me, it is unfortunate. Perhaps, future EV will have a nice visceral feel to driving them in terms of sound. I don't care for the speedy silent Tesla type. I rather have something slightly obnoxious because it's fun for me to hear. It's not everyone's forte though. Hah, a Coyote in a Bronco. Dear lord, that would be amazing.

I don't have any direct experience myself. I have a friend who had a 2014 and he got rid of it for an F150 after warranty because in his words he "couldn't afford to keep it running out of warranty". My brother had a 2016 (I think) and he never had any issues with it. he only got rid of it because he changed jobs and had a longer work commute.

Don't forget your governor just banned all gas sales yesterday for power eqpt. It's only a matter of time before you're sitting in long gas lines like back in the 70's. Heck the way things are going now we all might be sitting there sooner than later.

Let's Go Brandon! ?

Heck, didn't even know that. I try to stay out of politics as much as possible or else I will go insane living here. True, we really all might be there sooner or later. The next couple decades will tell a lot about where society decides to go.

Let's Go Brandon!!! :giggle:

Thanks for the info. Those are exactly what I keep seeing, some love it and some hate it but I guess that happens with all brands. Even here on this forum there are many of us with zero issues and some have had a lot of them.

Dave, I went into a Jeep while wondering about the initial reliability myself. While looking at used ones I saw many with over 100K miles still rolling so I figured the long term reliability is there. I just didn't know how many fixes it took to get them there. But, I thought what the hell. It's got a warranty, and I'll buy an extended one to help. To date I have only had the ASS battery replaced, and changed the oil. There has been one recall for the steering damper, and they weren't even backordered. :) At 20K miles we've had a blast with the thing.

If ones buy a Jeep they must be prepared. The 2 solid axles give it a whole nuther ride. It's smooth as a babies butt on the highway, but the nature of those axles will give you an adventure ride at times on stupid bad roads. And, with that solid front axle you get a pitman arm steering set up that comes with a little play in the steering. It's easy to get used to if you've ever driven an old Ford truck with them I-Beam front end. But youngin's like our good friend Brandon @dondonbabyraptor could be in for a little surprise. :)
