I'm spoiled because we had some great pizza (and other restaurants) back east. One area was predominantly Italians so there were so many great Italian places to dine at. Here they have no clue how to make a good pizza and good luck trying to find a restaurant that has any kind of good customer service. My realtor warned me about this 11 years ago and it's only got worse since. We're now down to 2 places we like to go that still give you a good meal and have good service at a fair price.
Have you been to Lou Malnati's? I'm not sure if they have opened in the west valley yet.

Extended warranties are always a fun topic. If you want one, buy one. If you are going to buy one, your best option is to wait until the manufactures bumper to bumper warranty is about to expire. If you buy the warranty when the vehicle is new, the proration period starts on day one, long before the extended warranty even kicks in. If you end up selling the vehicle or if it is declared a total loss, before the extended warranty kicks in, you may lose a lot of money on selling the warranty back.

The next thing is that many seem to justify purchasing the warranty out of fear of a major repair. Sure, you may get hit with one of those, but the smaller repairs are way more common. If you have a larger deductible on the warranty, you may end up covering a significant portion of the repair before the warranty even kicks in.

The last concern would be if the warranty properly fixes the vehicle. From what I have been told, from friends who worked as mechanics, the warranty is designed to get you through the warranty period. The warranty will pay to get the car running, but they may not pay to fix it correctly.

And like casinos, the house always wins!
Exactly. There is a reason they sell extended warranty’s. The odds are in their favor. If they didn’t make money off it, they’d never sell it. Who knows I may still add one if my truck shows signs of major issues or something, but with how many miles I drive, I’ll be out of any warranty way sooner than the timeframe they offer. They make a lot of money off insurance, and sometimes you need it sometimes you don’t. I get homeowners insurance, liability insurance, and car insurance which generally you have to have since you’re borrowing someone else’s money to pay on a loan and a house is something you can’t afford to fix if something major came up. But it may be a better idea to throw a few bucks into an account every check as the “oh shit” fund for vehicles or unplanned circumstances. Just my two cents.

It looks like the closest one is up in Union Hills which is still a good drive from me. I'm sure with the way the area here is growing it's only a matter of time one will be closer. Thx!

So those who have gotten it how is it when you used it?. We all know there is issues with the trans shifting and wondering if it will fail and the expense of replacing it gotta be expensive..
Once I found out on this forum the cost to replace some of the parts I decided to get the Ford Extended Warranty. Search the forum for Grainger Ford I believe for $50 over cost deal.

How long did you have to wait until Ford Pass awards showed up? I thought I read you get them with extended warranty purchase. Thanks

I did not get points for my extended warranty purchase but I did use my points toward buying the warranty.

I didn't buy an extended warranty when I purchased my truck because I felt it was an overblown cost for “piece of mind” on a truck they try to convince you is the bee’s knees.
But I did end up purchasing one after seeing the crazy discount you can get on these forums.
I purchased my extended warranty after I sat in my friend’s newish car with a broken multifunction screen. He said he won’t fix it because it’s about 2k to fix. Nowadays, these screens control everything! After mulling it around in my head, I decided it’s worth it. My extended warranty was considerably less than replacing a new screen.
I haven’t had to use the warranty and hopefully I won’t need to.

For those of you considering an extended warranty, check with Granger Ford first & save yourself big bucks. I’m talkin $500 to $1000 savings. And it’s the exact same warranty. Lots of options with years, miles & deductibles. You won’t be sorry. Grangerfordextendedwarranty.com

It was going to cost me $13,000 to fix my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe that blew its motor with 38,000 miles on it. I was able to convince them to cover it but even with their original 50% good will offer it was going to be $6500. Extended warranty for under $2000 on this truck is worth it if you don’t exceed the miles before the timeframe.

No FP awards when purchasing an ESP.
