A friend who works in data security gave me a solid piece of advice regarding the security questions.Forgot the answers to the 3 questions.

Just curious, did your friend in data security give you any advice about posting your passwords on the internet?A friend who works in data security gave me a solid piece of advice regarding the security questions.
Never truthfully answer the question asked - that may be susceptible to social engineering or searching through social media for answers such as pet's name, street you grew up on, etc.
The answer to every question is the same, and it is only known by you. So, if the questions are model of first car, elementary school you attended, and maternal grandfather's name, the answer is the same and should be something in the 10-15 character range. I use the title of my favorite song - "stayinalive" or sometimes "nightfever".![]()
Well, since the conversation included a reference to the BeeGees, and I gave an example using song titles from the BeeGees, I'm going to go ahead and say, "it's a joke, I don't use BeeGees song titles as the answer to my security questions". As opposed to my passwords.Just curious, did your friend in data security give you any advise about posting your passwords on the internet?
There are often times where I'm futzing in the yard and want to move Soupie. That means going in the house and finding the key - what bother! So this sounds attractive to me.Personally I hate this idea. While I don't care for the huge boat anchorFOB with the keyless entry, I'd rather it to this. My phones facial recognition doesn't work all that great and I have to use the passcode quite often to gain access. There's so many things in the real world that could happen and make this fail.
I know they say it can be updated but I see this as another solution looking for a problem. Then add the cost for this added technology which I'm sure won't be cheap to the already overpriced vehicles. Why not make them all keyless and design a smaller FOB? Unless there's an override (use of phone, or key) I don't like this at all.
What say you?

Dial lock is the only way to go. I have a Zanotti and they do not offer any electronic locks.Ive never seen them on one. Mine's a higher end Champion Triumph 40 safe and weighs 1,150lbs dry. I went with a regular S&G mechanical lock as they're pretty full proof. Ive had way to many problems over the years with electronic locks and once you do a dial a few times it's really quick to open one.
Hmm, if I lost my keys, the old Land Cruiser just needed two short wires with alligator clips.3 wrong tries and you're locked out.

Of course, if I had my security system on (which I used for years in Miami), then you'd need a hacksaw for the steering wheel.

Love that episode! lmaoIt's a new iPhone 14 Pro. It opens the apps fine just not the notifications or my reminders on my locked screen. My 12 was the same way too.
? Now that I think of it maybe Apple hates my face.

I swear, all of this "cybersecurity" stuff does a hell of a lot better job at keeping ME out of MY stuff than keeping out the hackers.
^This^It'll sell because many people will think this is cool.
