If Ford wants to bring back the T-Bird. It should be the 87/88 body style with the 2.3 out of the Mustang. Keep the manual trans option and it would be one hell of a car.

given fords current trend the Tbird will be open for pre order dec 2023. it will have an msrp of 185k. It will have a 18 speed computer controlled transmission... and be available for dealers in 2034, after pre orders are postponed 14 times and thousands of them strangely show up used at dealers "market adjustment" prices of 600% over msrp...

They still make the Mustang and need to find something on that chassis to increase roduction / demand for Car Parts common across multiple platforms. I always thought Killing the Fusion was a bad idea (Lets Kill off our most successful Hybrid vehicle and then in three years announce a new dependency on electric vehicles). Should have kept it and made the Mach-E a Fusion Product not a Mustang. No reason their electric / hybrid models couldn't have been under the Mercury brand (closest to the sun) or a Fusion Brand. Same with the T-Bird. It needs to be a boulevard cruising convertible - perfect for a hybrid / electric car with some soul. Not some turd shaped Prius.

agreed! If the tbird comes back it needs some style. slap a t bird body on the eco boost mustang, even that would be cool.

Why not. The last relaunch of the tbird was a resounding success.
the relaunch secked because the car had no soul. They need to bring back something along the lines of the late 50s early 60s Style. I still covet a 1957 T-Bird. I would give my left testicle for one
