Ive had this happen a few times now. The Ford app is draining the battery on my iPhone even though it’s not “on” in the background. Any ideas?

You sure its the ford pass app? Can you do a force close on it? Did you try reinstalling the app?

Yes according to the “battery” on iPhone its the Ford app even though it’s not open on the phone. Did not delete app yet. Will I lose the maintenance records I put in?

it may be related to having Sync search for updates. I did that yesterday.

I am running Android and I get constant alerts that the Fordpass app is slowing down my WiFi by excessive connection attempts. I have force stopped the app etc and it still happens on occasion. I know you are iPhone but wanted to share that perhaps it is using your wifi or location services?

Have you tried a complete shutdown/restart of the phone?

Also, check settings for ‘Location Services’ and see if the app is set to ‘Always’. If so, change it to something else such as ‘Only while using’. And see if that helps. Otherwise, you may need to delete and reinstall.

Yes I have done all that. I’ll screen shot my maintenance in case I have to reinstall.

Removed and installed app. Service records repopulated.

Where do you put those in? I can't find that in the app
Go to Vehicle then select “Service and Support “ scroll down to Service History

UPDATE: Waze is doing the same thing. Not sure if it’s connected to the Ford app problem or not.

2nd update: Changing FordPass to “ask next time” in Location Services fixed it.
