Took the family to Anzo Borrego and into Fish Creek Wash this weekend. It was 107 when we got there but the ranger handled it like a champ. We were with a F150 Raptor and we went everywhere it went and then some. Kids loved all the whoops and the wife didn’t hate it! Haven’t gotten the lift in the front yet so will have to head out again once the Eibach Pro’s are in.

Great pictures Josh. Over on the other side of the road of entrance to Fish Creek Wash is BLM land if you like shooting. That area makes a great camping trip to camp/shoot at the same time. On holiday weekends like July 4th, everyone is camping at the BLM side and shooting fireworks all night long.

Those are some great pics. Looks like they're right out of the Ford Ranger brochure.

Great pictures! The truck looks great. We are planning to head out to Anzo Borrego soon. What size tires are you running?

I've never camped at the BLM but I go out there on trips with my buddies. I am keeping my kids away from the pew pews right now as they are not old enough. Otherwise it sure makes for a great weekend with the buds!

That's a great looking truck Ryan! I just added the BFG KO2 in C load in a 265/70/17. I agonized a lot over 32 vs. 33 and I am really confident I went in the right direction for me. This is my daily driver and as much as I'd love to be out in the desert every weekend the reality is I am hauling kids gear around from place to place and prefer to keep the lively pep of the truck and a bit of the quality gas mileage. It definitely feels heavier at the corners when getting going but it still has no problem with acceleration and keeping up. I was out with a buddy who has a gen 3 raptor and I did everything he did on the trip to the desert and off roading. His was probably a bit more comfy in the cab than mine with the better suspension but I had no complaints from my passengers! I didn't air down either and had them at 35 psi. Washboards were fine once you got up to speed and the only things rattling real bad were the hydro flasks in the door pockets.

I only had 1 close call where I rubbed the sand a bit on the departure angle where I am still running stock up front. Once I have my Eibach Pro's up there it wouldn't have any problem at all. I did install the Tremor leaf back in the back and am still running the stock bump stops. I was really impressed with this trucks capabilities and I only need 4H 2x to get the truck all the way up on "poser rock" and to deal with the front bash plate rubbing on the way out. Otherwise it ran awesome in 2H with traction control off in normal mode.

Also, I ran a paper filter instead of my AEM dry flow since I new I would be trailing the raptors dust. When I took it out it was still pretty darn clean.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Been there with the wife, camped at the state park. Great place for some moderate off roading, we were on our way out to Winterhaven and Tucson for a week boondocking on BLM with friends. Nice photo's by the way.

I love that area, so much fun. We used to camp there in our 4x4 van and then head down through tecate and put around in baja a bit.

I'm with you and totally surprised at how well the ranger handles in stock form. My 3yo napped through about an hour of sand washes, whoops and mild off-roading thorough el paso mountain wilderness last weekend. I have a set of Eibach pros sitting in the garage as well. cant wait to get them on with some proper all terrains.
