Well here was the first long trip to see the eclipse. The Ranger was pulling my Salem FSX 178bhsk. Almost 630 miles round trip, started at 207' of elevation, not sure what my highest was but I did cross over the highest point on I80 East of the Mississippi, @ 2250'. All in all this thing never felt like I needed more power. Now I don't push the weight limits of the trailer, but this one is slightly notorious for being a little tall, for its weight class, so it generates more wind resistance than one would think. Overall though all good. It handled especially well too. Had jackwagons hopping lanes on 80 before a merge where it was shut down to one lane for bridge construction.
Still getting used to where I should have the OEM brake controller set to. In slow, stop and go, traffic in a one traffic light down I did feel the trailers brakes grab a bit and I don't think I even had the dial set at half power.
I will admit that it may have been a little tense, being my first longer trip, if I hadn't gotten the tech package with adaptive cruise and lane keep assist.
