I spotted this Ranger XL this morning. I rarely see a Ranger work/fleet truck around here.

That license plate frame says, Vista Ford Oxnard. That is where I bought my Ranger from here in Ca.
Oxnard.. Fond memories of the Channel Islands and Lure Fish House....

Brandon. I think my engine bay is cleaner than that!?
Hahaha. I would say that is true. It was worse before my GF was tired of my truck "smelling like the desert" every time she got in. I said it brought me joy to feel like I was at home when entering my truck :sun: She cleaned it a bit, but there is still some survivors of my memories in there. Funny story though. I meant to post it on here but life got in the way. I got high-centered at dunes in crazy soft sand winds. I had to "try" to self-recover by digging in high winds and 100 degree weather and I left my door open a few times  the dashboard stores those exact memories :giggle:

Good thing you got it dug out. That's one reason I don't like wheeling alone because that's when something always happens. When I do I try to stick to easier trails but they're not as fun.

I can't imagine why she got tired of it. ?

Funny enough, I was taking that friend I convinced to buy the explorer to off-road with me. Sure gave him an experience. He now has a recovery kit but at the time he had a fresh vehicle pretty much. A f150 pulled us out after 30mins-an hour of digging. I felt pale a few times during the self-recovery :/

it truly is no joke to go out by yourself I found out. I even had recovery boards.. Couldn’t imagine if I didn’t have my friend help me rotate on digging shifts.

I still cry a bit when my truck isn’t like the desert dunes anymore ? I tease the gf every time that I lost a bit of my heart when she cleaned it partially.

Oldish thread but... finally got a reaction from another Ranger and going down I10.

Shadow black with the black trim stuff and what looked like darker than stock tint. One of the black aftermarket exhausts. Didnt see it well enough to ID it but it was more than a tip and rattle can I think. Black slightly raised inserts in the Ranger indents on the tailgate.

He must have just left a car wash because it was a shadow and looked very clean. Mine got too close to grass last night and was covered in dust for some reason.

Got a head nod as I went by and on my way to work.

If you are on here. Good looking truck.

That is an awesome show! I went once when I was doing a contract at Camp Pendleton. There was a guy there with an original AC Cobra. Beautiful car. Sometime later I was telling a couple managers at the Shelby museum in Vegas about him and they knew exactly who I was talking about. I have a pic of it still in my camera I think

Channel Islands harbor is home to the Ponies by the Sea Mustang show.
