I have a 2019 Ford Ranger with 40k miles. I recently replaced the DPFE sensor recently and it fixed the bucking issue and brought my gas mileage back to normal but now it feels like driving through mud. I did reset the computer by unplugging the battery for 15 minutes as a part of the sensor change. I'm thinking that I might need to do that again for a longer period but not sure. Any one have a similar issue and fix?

1st cycle the (4WD) switch as it may be stuck in 4 -High

Scan for Codes and pull up the following PIDs and note what they are:

MAP Press (Hi Resolution)
STFT - Short Term Fuel Trim
LTFT - Long Term Fuel Trim
DPFE - Press
DPFE - Voltage

Since the Battery was disconnected it sounds like you need to do an Idle Relearn as the truck is running on (Base Calibration Tables) vs Learned

Try This:

In Neutral
Start engine — let idle 5 minutes (no accessories)
Turn A/C on — let idle another -5 minutes

In Drive

Let idle 5 minutes (no accessories)
Turn A/C on — let idle another -5 minutes

Drive gently in city conditions for 10–15 minutes
