F350 vs 5G Ranger

I was going to build it out as a two-door, but I must have missed the step to do that. I might have to try it again.

So the two door is only available in the XL and XLT trim. By building it out the same as the King Ranch Tremor above but as an XLT two door, the cost would only be $77,000. Again, when compared to what you can pay for an F150 or even the 6G Ranger, the F250 SuperDuty is actually a pretty good value for the capability.

Only if you want/need the capability. Most of us on this forum do not. So the comparison is useless. In my personal case an F150 would be an incredible overkill for my needs. For someone on a ranch the F350 is probably more of a requirement/need than a want.

You cannot compare the cost of a vehicle based on size or capability. Just because it is smaller does not make the cost to manufacture that much less than an F150 or even an F350. Raw materials are a small part of the cost.

Here is a pic of my2005 F350 11000 gvw next to the 2018 1500 Silverado LTZ High Desert that replaced it. My wife couldn't climb up into the F350 anymore. The Chevy seat was almost 2 feet lower. What a mistake that Chevy was. Frame was almost rusted through in 2 years. Back to Ford and a Ranger.

Sold it with 35k miles on it 13 years old. What a workhorse but it liked gas.

You’re totally right. Most of us don’t need that kind of capability, but my point is that I’m impressed by how much towing and hauling capability you can get for the money.
