I just signed up for CarShield Platinum. I have 94200 miles on it. They gave it to me for $99.00 a month. Should cover everything except normal cosmetic stuff. Is this a good deal?

Can’t find many options for 2019 over 94200 miles. But at this stage I’m beginning to worry!

3rd party Extended warranties usually aren't worth the paper they're written on.

You'll probably have two problems.

Finding someone that will work with them, lots of shops won't.

Getting them to actually pay for what they cover.

So.....worthless.

Yep, $1200 a year earning 3% is probably better than a 3rd party warranty.

Remember it is really an insurance policy, not a warranty. Like every other insurance company, they are not in business to lose money. You are gambling that something is going to happen. Just like the casino, the house ALWAYS wins.

I really agree with putting that money in the bank as an emergency fund. Then you don't need to have that home warranty "insurance" policy bill either. And learn how to do preventive maintenance.

Any vehicle will need a repair as it gets used. If you are willing to spend that much into an insurance policy that may or may not cover the vehicle, then I would recommend putting it into a savings account instead. I would also recommend spending the money on Maintenance. Without Maintenance the vehicle is going to have a higher chance of a breakdown.

The warranty from Ford isn't any better imo, first thing they do is look for loopholes and hidden lawyer words, even when the intent or "sprit" of the contract is pretty clear, they can wiggle out... its the slime I think 🤔, makes em pretty slippery and hard to hold...

Case in point, exhibit 1 , the failed part on the left (parking/turn signal socket)
Is NOT covered even though it is (imo and I would think most others also) an electrical part , wiring or part of a "harness" or saftey for drivabity, all things I was told I was covered on... BUT, if you did not check off the "lighting option" , then all the previous things become untrue somehow . The "sprit" of the "lighting option " , when you read it , leads you to believe its for bulb replacement, which i would never take it in for anyways ... pretty slimy, but legal I guess 🤷...

How long do you plan to keep it? There are known transmission issues. If yours hasn't had the issue, maybe that should be a consideration. Also, there was another discussion in the last week about issues (I don't remember what) 2019s and I believe some 2020s had. You may wish to consider that if yours has not been repaired.

YES!! If you’re satisfied with coverage!! Sand, that you can cancel when you desire. And, a set rate.

The Ford Factory warranty is dependent on the integrity of the Dealer. Case in point: Purchased a 3G Ranger and my father a Crown Vic from this dealer. I had a bad throw out bearing that whistled. Took it in and their head mechanic and I went for a test drive. He verified it was a bad throw out bearing. When we got back to the dealership and walked inside, the owner asked the mechanic what he found. The mechanic told him what he heard. The owner then stated that he did not hear anything and to go back to the service department! The owner then stated since there was nothing wrong with my truck there was nothing he could do for me. We left and NEVER purchased another vehicle from that dealership again!

Is that the warranty “Ice Tea” is hucking on TV” :D

The actual ford extended warranty was pretty decent to use when I needed it.

Did you search the dealers here that sell actual ford warranty packages? I would have checked with them first.
