I'm gonna stick around here....Expedition Forum is a bit lame on posts, answering posts, and generally not as much "fun" as here....
So, just think of the Expi as a BIG Ranger with an enclosed body !!!!!

I wonder if his bride will now start wanting just a wee bigger RV to pull? 😉
NOOOOOO! But, seriously, our current Jayco was special ordered by us with several add- ons and modifications. We know this will be our last RV so we didn't skimp on getting it. Layout is perfect for us and 2 pup's.....so no, no bigger rig in the plans.

How's towing the RV with the Explanger compared to the ranger?
Haven't set it up yet, have to install brake control and re-do hitch head as the Expi is 4 inches lower at the hitch than the Ranger was.
Will let ya all know.....:like:

A little update.....after a coolant flush and new 190 degree thermostat, hooked up the trailer and did a quick 60 mile trial run. Coolant temps never got over 205 and trans fluid never hit 200, so all in all GREAT !!!
As much as I loved the Ranger, the big Expy tows so much better....quieter, roomier, and even with the trailer, during the trial run, got almost 12 mpg....a bit better than the Ranger. And, the 3.5 twin turbo wasn't even trying, especially in tow mode.
A bit of a sag in the rear, and unfortunately with an independent rear suspension, aside from heavier shocks/springs, not too much can be done. 112,000 miles and Tank still rides like a new SUV tho.....

I'm now in an F150 and have a similar opinion about the F150gen14 forum.

I tried to have a fun post about the infamous @AzScorpion tailgate damper and it got so serious.
