Can you imagine trying to get that approved today? I'd love to see the airbag system designed for it. lolTalk about an accident waiting to happen. Can you imagine trying to get that approved today? I'd love to see the airbag system designed for it. lol
That would make a great ejection seat. Hey lets go for a ride and you can sit in the back.... then boom, goodbye. lol
They were quite popular (they were made from 78 to 94), enough so that Mopar came out with one called a Rampage in Dodge trim or Scamp in Plymouth trim. Since Mopar didn't have import duties to worry about they didn't have the jump seat in the back. The later model Brats didn't have the jump seat.I remember back in the 70's, Subaru came out with a small pickup with seats in the bed.
I wonder why it did not become more popular.

I wonder why it did not become more popular.

My point exactly, a little James Bond action !That would make a great ejection seat. Hey lets go for a ride and you can sit in the back.... then boom, goodbye. lol

yes she did ! i loved that show. i remember joy using pam cooking spray for motor oil in one episode...I liked them as a kid. I think VW had a version without the seats too like the dodge.
If you watched "my name is Earl" his ex drove one an her kid rode in the back in the rain
Because if you ever had one of those death traps pull out in front of you and you get to witness the two children sitting in the bed go flying down the asphalt, they don't seem such a great idea afterwardsI remember back in the 70's, Subaru came out with a small pickup with seats in the bed.
I wonder why it did not become more popular.
