there is truth in that.
I dont recall which hybrid Ford had the problems with, but there were numerous instances when the owner did alot of short trips.
Mostly on battery
when the time came to use the engine portion, there were all sorts of problems because it could have been weeks, months or longer since the engines ran.
So yeah, use it. or you might lose it.

Edit: found an article

Truth. In the mountains where we have our second house, I recently heard that if you don't use the water much, the well can get clogged up from sediment. You need to actually use the well to keep it clear. Who knew?

I like the ASS, but starting tomorrow, I will now use/touch every single freaking button I can find on the truck to make sure it will work the next time. ?
What a waste of 4 pages.

Got one too, don't know why it works it just does
The battery management system detects a small current draw and keeps the a.s.s. turned off for electronic device usage.

Wow, this really blew up. I just got a notification of unread threads :)

So I like ASS, they only time it is annoying is when parking. For me at least.

I have found a solution for now, since its now winter, it disables itself due to heating, or charging. And it also seems that if you have the defrost on it will also disable itself.

So until spring, I probably won't have to worry about it.
