Engine auto-stopping when cold

Hi,

I purchased a used 2019 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab a few months ago. I am currently at about 17,000 miles. The truck has been great and I'm likely being over-cautious because it is a new-to-me truck and a major step up from the older stripped down work trucks I have bought in the past, but I have a concern about the auto start/stop.

I have noticed recently that the engine auto-stops when the truck has not come up to operating temp. I could have sworn that in the past the truck did not auto-stop until the temp guage was at or near normal operating temp. It has been warm here (70s-80s) so I am not using AC/heat/defrost. The truck sits overnight or at work (10-12 hours), I start it up, drive maybe 100 feet, and hit a stop sign. The truck auto stops. Temp gauge is still on C or just coming off of it.

The truck otherwise drives fine. Temp gauge moves to operating temp normally. Coolant level is good. No CEL.

Is this experience normal or is my auto-start/stop malfunctioning and stopping before it should be?

Mine has done the same thing in the summertime. I think think once the coolant temp reaches around 100F start/stop turns on. In the winter mine has to run a few minutes before it starts working.
