Yes mine has done it since new and I'm sure a lot of others have experienced it as well. Like you said only happens for a short bit then its quiet.So this is normal?

It is the "morning sickness" of the fan clutch. My 2019 Ranger does this every time I drive it....It is not going to hurt anything and it goes away pretty soon after you start the engine. It is a customer annoyance but is not damaging to the vehicle. I am surprised there has not been a fan clutch revision to lessen this, but appears nothing has been done. This has been covered in several threads since the 5G Ranger was put on sale for the North American market.
