Frankly, it's a night and day difference. The FX4 shocks seem to be geared for providing offroad capability without sacrificing a soft, very soft, ride. The downside to this is the "Ranger bounce" which I experience mainly when exiting my driveway and when turning corners that have dips. I have Bilstein shocks but the Eibach and Bilstein shocks both eliminate the bouncing and swaying. You probably don't even have to remove the rear wheels to install them.

I replaced mind with Fox shocks. Huge difference. I changed mine in the garage in about 15 minutes including cleaning up.
Left the truck flat on the ground. Two bolts each side and you are done.

I’m not worried about installing them. I’m curious about ride difference on and off road. Stiffness etc…

The ride quality is much improved. The truck is more stable going over bumps. Before if I hit a bump on the highway in a curo, I could feel the truck bounce like the back end was going to slide out from under me. I can’t speak for off road but on road the new shocks are what the truck should have come with

Can't speak for Eibachs (which are fairly firm), but the Fox 2.0s on the rear did not comprimise off road ability or speed at all. Even if the Eibachs are a little stiff off road, what you gain with on road driveability is far worth it.

Yeah soooooo if you alread have it then go ahead and install it!! To say the least most of the members on here including myself have already determined that the factory shocks suck. If there were different shocks on the truck i can guarantee most would not be changing the suspension as there are plenty who do not go OffRoad.

Hey I really appreciate the feedback so far… I’ve been an avid off-roader for about 35 years… My last rig was a 2005 F150 Super Crew FX4 with a 4 inch Rancho lift. One hell of a desert marauder.. Moab, Death Valley etc… This will never be a replacement but scaled down version. The wife has back surgery that limits our “flight aggression “ through the desert. We have slowed a bit but still want to traverse our old routes with some comfort.

just think old people with experience!!!

I gave the F150 to my granddaughter so could haul her 3 boys around…

I could have gotten a heck of a trade value for it but family comes first!!!

No regrets…

I put the eibachs in the rear and they definitely calmed down the jello feeling.
It's not completely gone because the front are still stock but they calm the front wiggle down dramatically.

Put it this way. They used to feed off of each other it seems.the front would wiggle, then it traveled to the back making the back wiggle, then back to the front and so on until the frequency of the bump went down....which gives you that wallowing feeling.
Putting the eibachs in just the back stops the wiggle from continuing. It really is instant night and day improvement.

The good news is, if you don't like them, you can always pop the FX4s back on and get most of your money back by selling the Eibachs to a forum member.

Can you share a pics of your Fox Shock? I just got a superlift 3.5 and we use the shocks that came with the kit but it seems to be making some clunking noise, it's not a Fox quality the fitting seems to be looser where it get bolted down. I would like to see how the Fox rear shock fitting.
