The dealer have to hold onto these mannequins for 6 months before they can sell them. With everyone test driving them they don't get the proper break in. I know I was stepping on it when I test drove it. I wouldn't feel comfortable buying one of these never mind overpaying for it to boot. ?
Which is a shame that Ford let this happen. Not to mention all the people who got jilted on the preorders.

That's why I jumped ship and ordered a Jeep. With the new allocation system my dealer who has 1100 Bronco orders would only get 150-200 at most next year. I would see mine by 3rd or 4th qtr in 2024. This is with an October 2020 reservation. Heck by then they'll be ready for the next gen Bronco. lol

Right... Dealerships are making bank at 15 to 20k over book. And people are lining up to pay that as well.

I'm baffled that dealer's have Broncos for test drive? The wait list is like 10 years out and they're letting tire kickers romp around with an inventory they have in stock? What's the logic here?

What's worse is now a lot of dealers are screwing customers who they promised them their Broncos at msrp. Here's just one of many threads where the dealer is charging his customer $15K over when it was supposed to be at msrp. It's best to wait it out and let the dust settle and these will be back down to normal prices in a few years.

I'll wait out 5 years and get a lease turn in at a realistic price...

Each dealer will get 1-2 mannequins for test drives and display. It was supposed to bring in more future buyers so people could see and test drive them. They cant sell them for at least 6 months.

Same here. As much as I wanted a Bronco I don't need one. I wanted a fun off road toy where I could take the top off here most of the year. Hopefully things die down and become "normal" again. Ford really shot themself in the foot by doing this as there are many on B6G who jumped ship or flat out cancelled.

They can't even sell to their customers who waited for years...What? Ford is looking for customers?! Try satisfying their current wait list LOL...

Stopped by and kicked the tires on a new Badlands package today. It had the 4 banger with the 6 speed manual. Overall I really liked it. Not so much the color, nor the 15k over book. For sure I'll buy a new Bronco, but I'll wait until these mature and the dealerships drop the markup. They didn't have a six banger in stock, so that would be the next I would like to drive.

I did just about the same thing last week at my Ford dealer while they were doing routine maintenance on my Ranger. They had two Broncos on display, not for sale, they said, just for show. I was very happy with the seats, the headroom--I am six-foot-three, and so a low ceiling is a dealbreaker--the layout, the room in the back, the easy access to stored stuff back there, the clearance underneath, the tires, etc. The wife was not thrilled about the Ranger and just sort of put up with it initially, although she has gotten to like it since then. But she is really excited about the Bronco, which will make the whole transition easier when the time comes. I do like the idea of letting the Bronco "mature," as you say, for a few years, when more options will become available. It will have to be a four-door hardtop six-banger with 2.7 or more, and, sorry guys, just about any color but orange...

Bawaaa true Dat. It's not bad just not for me. Wonder if this color would hide the off road brush contact like white would? Some one with Saber speak up please, ?
That looks like cyber orange to me.
