They're having a special event here in AZ (It was on the Fort McDowell Indian reservation) for reservation holders where you get to drive the Bronco and ask the reps questions. The off road course was nothing challenging but it did have a few good steep inclines and declines with some sandy wash areas. The Sasquatch package with the Bilstein shocks are super smooth and the 12" touch screen is a must have! The forward facing camera is great going up steep inclines where you can't see over the ridge. Getting back into my Ranger the screen looks like a hand held video game. lol

I got there early and requested to drive a 2dr since that's what I have ordered and was able to drive a fully loaded Wildtrak with the 2.7 V6 twin turbo. It did get me excited again for mine but now it probably cost me another $1,900 because there's a huge noticeable different with that motor. As long as I get mine before next October I'm going to hang in there because these are a great off road vehicle and so much better than a Jeep.

There was a rep that came along with us so I couldn't take any pictures while driving off road.

Wildtrak I got to drive:

Looks like a lot of fun, Dave. Are you happy with your pick ?
It was Chuck and I was having a loss of excitement because of the delays and the whole hardtop mess. I ordered a 2 dr Badlands and the Wildtrak was the closest model to it there and it was great to drive it. Very smooth over the washboards and good vision from the drivers seat too. I love that you have full view of the hood and it doesn't slope down and the trial guide come in handy in tight areas. Now the wait is going to be that much harder now. ?

I’m excited for you Dave - glad you got out to drive that beast - I keep seeing the odd one parked at the local dealer as they come in. They really do look as off-road worthy as they are said to be. I hope you had fun!

Awesome Dave, I'd lose sleep waiting another year after the ultimate tease you just went through!

Scott
I'm not know for my patience. lol I always knew mine would be a MY '22 but after getting to off road a little with one, now the wait is going to be torture. We were seriously considering a travel trailer and ditching the Bronco but as long as there's no more major delays I'm going forward with my order and maybe try to find a good used TT in the meantime. Ford did a really good job with these but they really need to get better with their launches.

Maybe go all-in and get a Bruder off-road trailer - it would look so awesome behind your Bronco….

I mean, who doesn’t want a trailer with recovery boards and tow shackles? ?

I was watching this video yesterday of this Aussie built trailer. This is one bad a$$ built trailer if you have $65K. ?

That thing likely costs more than the Bronco Dave ordered.

For that amount he could buy a Jeep to tow behind the Bronco. It could serve double duty as a camper and a second rig for when the real wheeling begins.

The one I linked goes between $65K-$90K but they're built like a tank and will probably outlive all of us. lol

I'll admit I haven't been in a newer Jeep in a while but the Bronco is very impressive. I think it's one downfall is its width, it's pretty darn wide. But on road (the one I drove in July) it handles like a dream, something I've heard is a downfall with most Jeeps.
