Has anyone used drop shackles on the rear to level the truck out instead of a lift for the front?

I wish, I would buy them now and put the front back down.
I think you can locate the shackle further back if you cut off the plate behind the shackle where the hitch is connected but we're talking full fab work.
So far the closest thing is a 4" drop by actually using a longer shackle but putting the springs under the axle by belltech.

This same question has been asked a thousand times. There isn't a quick go to option. I would recommend that you do a Belltech axle flip and use the longest position on the Belltech shackles. Should be about a 3" rear drop. That may give you a little too much rear drop though. Measure your stock height and find out.
You could get the entire lowering kit and do 3" in the rear and 1" in the front to get it level. That would get a nice lower stance without being too low. Check out the thread "any body planning to lower their 2019 Ranger". Last ten pages or so should be most helpful.

This has been discussed many times here. If you take a look at the rear shackles you will see. The springs are directly below and in line with the frame, not offset from the frame like in older trucks.
