Anything?
Not what I had hoped, exactly.
Got the truck back Friday evening and all they did was a Road Force balancing.
There were no "codes" thrown for driveline issues at all, but the vibration was noticed by the tech involved.
The vibration was noticeably lessened by the balance, but I've only driven it home from the shop.
I'll know more as the week progresses during my normal daily drive.
I'll update a bit later in the week.

Well this looks interesting

Curious how much this will run. Also not sure about having that much of the splines exposed, but they do seem to know what they are doing.

I may go by a local driveshaft specialist shop here and see what they would quote to make one similar to this.

Thought they had this driveshaft phasing debacle sorted out by model year 3 but I was wrong. 21 Ranger XL 2wd with annoying intermittent vibes at cruising speeds. Comes and goes. Sometimes only slight vibes then all hell breaks loose. Noticed 2nd week of ownership pre mods

I only have vibrations when towing my enclosed trailer, around 60mph. Guess I'm lucky. I really don't know what this phasing is about. 2019'XLT TWD

Noticed since I bought my 2019 XLT 4x4 Sport Subercab that I have a slight vibration/droning at highway speed. It seems to be between 55-65mph with the peak around 58-62mph. Drawing from my past experience as a auto tech, I instantly felt like it was driveline related. I crawled under the truck and found that the middle and rear u-joints are out of phase from the factory, and the shaft is tattooed with balancing weights. I took it to the local dealer that I bought it from. I used to work there years ago and still know a few people there. Hoping Ford steps up and replaces the shaft assembly. I could've reindexed the slip yoke splines to correctly phase it, but it would likely throw the assembly out of balance....and it's still under warranty. Several guys in the Facebook group said they looked after I posted the video, and there's were out of phase also, so I'm not sure what the heck is going on in Ford's driveline shop. Here's the video I filmed.

Ben,
I'm new to the forum and joined due to my brand new 21 Ranger having the exact issue. Dealer replaced my driveshaft assembly with no improvement. Tech talked to me and said the he attempted to put the two halves in phase but the shaft has master splines that force it into one position only which is out of phase about 15 degrees. Has anyone looked into an aftermarket assembly? Is anything like that out there?

Looks like this thread got resurrected from a long nap, but was interesting. I looked and my 21 Ranger Tremor has a cv joint instead of a u-joint at the rear axle pinion connection, so that must have been a design change.

Would be nice if they did that for all the models.

Any chance the Tremor shaft assembly can be installed on my FX4?

I understand where your coming from but not really keen on making a modification like that which reqires removing the frame crossmember. That would probably void my warranty. I am leaning toward having a local drivrshaft shop here in Nashville rebuild my shaft putting the u joints back in phase and rebalancing it.

You would have to change the pinion yoke flange in addition to adding the Tremor driveshaft. Otherwise, should be bolt in. Attached are pictures of the labels on the front and rear driveshaft sections.

Here is a picture for reference of the different pinion flange.
