Door Mirror Switch Harness Information

Good day all!

I have an XLT without power folding mirrors, and I'm wanting to swap the mirror switch for the Lariat version with the mirror fold button so I can utilize it as a switch for a remote air tank drain. Does anyone know if there's a standalone jumper harness for this plug or at least what terminals it takes?

I couldn't say as I just found some old harnesses I've pulled in the past and some of the wires and terminals from them fit the plug there perfectly.

Okay so after a little searching on our favorite communist site, I think I found exactly what I need:

For Ref: The Terminal Part # is: 4M5T-14474-FAA
This is not a part number for the connector (separate) it part of complete harness

The issue is you must buy in (QUANITY) to get just the terminals (LARGE QTY)

Pins 1 & 5 are the locations (so both top & bottom) left of the connector as pictured.
Note: Pin #2 is a (Empty Cavity) on all trims

Pin #1 = Fold - Pin #5 = Resume (unfold)
This is a Bi-Direction Control (motor)
Pin #1 is Power - Pin #5 is Ground for one direction, then reverse polarity for the other direction.
Just so you understand - how the switch is wired internally.

Best option - Salvage Yard - Get the switch and connector, de-pin and pull the wires from (yard) connector.

Alternate Options - Get a Terminal Kit (Amazon / Ebay) and hope you find one that fits as it is difficult to (Cross-Ref) that terminal part number (aftermarket P/Ns)

Do a Indepth search for Ford - Pigtail Connectors, that would have the same Terminal Contacts in it and then de-pin that connector. (Pigtail that actually is for something else but uses the same terminals)

You are missing - VERY IMPORTANT info - Wire Gauge
Needs to be (20g) terminals - the connector looks like 16g and lock orientation will they fit in the connector and lock in place.
