i lost my travel link when the sirius free trial was over.
i wished it was for 5 years. thats the only feature i would keep.
otherwise i dont use sirius
Well my 15 Mustang with MyFordTouch, my 17 Mustang with Sync3 and my 21 Ranger with Sync3 all had 5 years subscription to SirusXM Travel Link included and it continued working after the SirusXM radio free trial expired. I would get down to your dealer and but h about it.

You lose it when the subscription runs out, at least my 2021 did. I add to subscribe to get it back. I think the deal I ended up getting is like $4 a month.
It's quite clear in the Ford sales propaganda that when you get factory nav SirusXM Travel Link is a 5 year subscription, included. I have had 3 vehicles now that once the SirusXM radio trial expired the Travel Link has kept working. I can go to the SirusXM info screen and see that my radio is not subscribed and all the things associated with Travel Link are subscribed.

The free 3 month trial of SirusXM radio ran out last year but the Travel Link is still working on my 21 Ranger. I would get down to my dealer and bitch about it.

Hmm. Sucks for me then lol because it stopped working when the satellite subscription ran out. I'll definitely be reaching out to them for a refund and correction. Thanks!

If you have a paid subscription for the radio and then cancel the radio only, they will also terminate the Travel Link even though there is free time remaining. You have to ask for a supervisor who has the ability to cancel the audio and keep the Travel Link alive. I recently went through this twice for my Ranger and Fusion.

Interesting, I went into my Ford Pass app today after all the recent updates and they dropped trip log that use to be part of the app. It was keeping a log of every trip I made. That would account for learning my preferred routes. Well it’s gone! Just a map of truck location in real time.

Yeah the My Journeys stopped working for me months ago. I liked it when it worked.

So andriod (and andriod auto) using google maps stores location history and routes traveled.

I have mine set to delete every 3 months automatically. because it kept trying to route me to an ex girlfriends house.

When techies get concerned aobut privacy it is things like the above.

various companies track your devices and thus you. if only they did something useful with it but no they sell it to advertisers for huge money who then spam call everyone anyways.

when i had my F150, we were doing a trip to the east coast of Canada from Ontario.
we were going to take the route through the states from Buffalo.
My GPS would not pick a route through the states no matter what I tried.
it kept routing me through la bell province of Qwebek.
I wanted to avoid that place like the plague and would have gladly routed through downtown Detroit at night to do so.

Anyways, the route eventually gave in and routed me through the states after a few hundred KM's of the annoying voice telling me to u-turn at every off ramp. I learned quickly how to mute that.
I beat it though, I won in the end.

then we had the same problem coming back ugh.

If you want to avoid QC on your next trip, put NB to ON then add a waypoint in the US like Albany, NY. That will stop the unit from re-calculating every time you pass a side street. Pick anyplace on the route you want to take.
