Noticed the other day that my oil filter cover thing was hanging from one plastic rivet. Took it off and now my oil filter is exposed. Do I need to replace this or should I be fine driving without the cover?

Does anyone know the part number for that cover?

Ford installed this for a reason. I'd replace it. It protects the engine from road splash. I suspect the quality level of the various connectors is based on this shield being in place.
There are many on line Ford parts sellers. You'll have to dig through the diagrams to find this part.
