I have looked at this too. Thinking about the lower rocker panels to cover and prevent rock chips.

It's all in the prep work. If things are not done right it will just peel off over time. At least with line-x you get a lifetime warranty

I lack the skills for a DIY spray on bed liner. I rather pay $600+ for a professional to do it.

My son did this to his F150 2 years ago. He’s a plumber so all the scrap from jobs along with his tools gets thrown in and shuffled around. Looking at it last weekend I commented on how well it was holding up. He said he was surprised too as the abuse it’s getting is pretty severe. He bought enough materials so he could paint it again once it got messed up enough but… guess who got the kit to do his truck bed ?

The main word of advice I got from him ( now get you this is my son! ?) is spend the time and do the prep work right. The places where he didn’t rough up factory paint enough are peeling in places. He used an abrasive rotary pad and really cut into it. Some places down to bare metal. He said it didn’t get into corners and crevices and these are the problem areas for peeling. Then he did 2 coats with the last one abrasive media thrown on top for anti skid surface. Also put a rubber mat in so it helps with noise and gouges

Thank all for the info and the weekend project turned out to be as good as it gets
I'm looking to do this very soon before I beat the bed all to hell. Where I'm stuck is if I should remove the top plastic rail from the bed and get that while I'm at it?

DIY bedliners have been around for quite some time . I ordered a kit from J.C. Whitney back in 1980 and sprayed my 1955 Military surplus Jeep . Stripped everything out and did the whole inside , dash , floor , sides etc . It was holding up good when I sold it years later .

Did you spray it or roll it? I'm torn between the raptor and the duraback 18.
